Researchers Find Marijuana Fights Cancer and Helps Manage Side Effects

Several subsequent and peer-reviewed clinical studies held in in several countries show that the chemical compounds in marijuana — called “cannabinoids” — have an anti-tumoral effect.“Cannabidiol offers hope of a non-toxic therapy that could treat aggressive forms of cancer without any of the painful side effects of chemotherapy,” said Dr. Sean McAllister, a scientist at the Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.
